The theme of the ongoing weekly photo challenge theme (Pattern) reminds me of an artwork spotted in the Museum of Contemporary Art(MCA) Australia in Sydney. I forgot its title and artist (sorry) and I remember the artwork. If you know the title and artist, do leave a comment and let me know!
Ironically, what made me pressed the camera shutter was the man who sat on the steps, a lonely figure who broke up the pattern. Why did he choose to sit on the steps? What is he thinking about? Who is he waiting for? Where did he come from? When did he sit down? How is he feeling today?
This picture got me thinking: sometimes, we seldom question once we settle into a pattern and just follow it. Perhaps sometimes, we need to give ourselves a break, jumble up the routine, question ourselves. Perhaps that would give us new energy to create…new pattern…

You give great food for thought, and I, being the lover of orange that I am, love the pattern on the wall.
Thanks. And good taste – orange is a very popular color these days 🙂

triangles floating like thoughts …
ah.. perhaps that’s why the man was pondering on the steps…
though there is a sign up above saying he should better run, run, run!
